Secondary lead producers reported a modest growth in profit in this past week, SMM reported.

SHANGHAI, Nov. 13 (SMM) – Secondary lead producers reported a modest growth in profit in this past week, SMM reported.

Average price of scrap automobile batteries (white shell) and motive batteries came at 6,845 yuan per tonne and 7,325 yuan per tonne, respectively, sliding 100 yuan per tonne and 90 yuan per tonne from last week. This cut smelting cost by 140-170 yuan per tonne.

Secondary lead average price fell 115 yuan per tonne, on a weekly basis, to 12,585 yuan per tonne this week.
