SHANGHAI, Feb. 29 (SMM) – The number of Chinese secondary lead producers resuming production falls short of forecast, SMM surveys.
9 out of 18 domestic secondary lead smelters already restarted operation and 4 has resumed production but keep low operation rates as workers have not fully returned to work. 2 are under maintenance and the rest 3 take a wait-and-see stand.
Secondary lead prices are mainly at 11,900-12,000 yuan per tonne at present and supply tightness still continues.
