SHANGHAI, Mar. 8 (SMM) – Accelerating profits lead to high producing enthusiasm at Chinese secondary lead producers and two factors are behind, SMM explains.
Many disqualified smelters resume operation recently and producers in operation previously run at full operation at present.
Secondary lead prices in China grow more than 300 yuan per tonne or even 500 yuan per tonne from the level before 2016 Chinese New Year holiday while scrap battery prices only increased by 200 yuan per tonne, growing profits for producers.
By-product prices also head for gains. About 60-70kg flue ash will be generated per tonne of secondary lead produced.
