SMM Forecast For Volume Of Lithium Salt, Nickel Salt And Cobalt Salt Recovered From Lithium Battery Scrap In May

SHANGHAI, May 19 (SMM) - Some recycling companies may restock as needed in mid-to-late May. After raw material inventories are depleted, recycling companies will have to either purchase at high prices or suspend production. Considering that downstream demand has not yet recovered, smaller recycling companies will probably halt production. Large recycling companies will restock as needed to ensure deliveries to customers under long-term contracts. SMM estimates that the total recycling volume of battery scrap will rise 12% MoM to 49,539 mt in May, including 23,889 mt of ternary battery scrap, 24,594 mt of LFP battery scrap, and 1,056 mt of LCO battery scrap.
