SHFE 1709 zinc opened at RMB 22,705/mt today and then hovered around RMB 22,700/mt.

SHANGHAI, Jul. 6 (SMM) – SHFE 1709 zinc opened at RMB 22,705/mt today and then hovered around RMB 22,700/mt. Shorts gained confidence as ferrous metals weakened, weighing down zinc to RMB 22,600/mt. In the afternoon, SHFE 1709 zinc edged up and closed at RMB 22,800/mt, down RMB 115/mt or 0.5%. Trading volumes on SHFE 1708 zinc decreased 5,920 to 239,000 lots, and positions increased 8,628 to 259,000. SHFE 1708 zinc will hover at highs this evening.
