SHFE 1703 zinc hovered around RMB 22,090/mt after opening today and then rose to RMB 22,200/mt.

SHANGHAI, Jan. 10 (SMM) – SHFE 1703 zinc hovered around RMB 22,090/mt after opening today and then rose to RMB 22,200/mt. In the afternoon, SHFE 1703 zinc surged to RMB 22,730/mt and closed at RMB 22,555/mt, up RMB 1090/mt or 5.08%.

Trading volumes increased 156,000 lots to 796,000 lots, and positions increased 15,474 to 239,000. Trading volumes on SHFE zinc increased 189,000 lots to 939,000 lots, and positions added 10,962 to 436,000. SHFE 1703 zinc will remain strong in the evening session.
