SHFE 1705 zinc opened at RMB 21,495/mt today. As longs entered the market, SHFE 1706 zinc edged up but met pressure from RMB 21,820/mt. In the afternoon, SHFE 1706 zinc rallied and closed at RMB 21,72
SHANGHAI, Apr. 13 (SMM) – SHFE 1705 zinc opened at RMB 21,495/mt today. As longs entered the market, SHFE 1706 zinc edged up but met pressure from RMB 21,820/mt. In the afternoon, SHFE 1706 zinc rallied and closed at RMB 21,725/mt, up RMB 415/mt or 1.95%.
Trading volumes on SHFE 1706 zinc decreased 782,000 to 782,000, and positions added 6,630 to 326,000. Upbeat trade data from China bode well for China’s foreign trade. Nonferrous metals rallied, but ferrous metals were still sluggish. SHFE 1706 zinc is expected to stay range-bound this evening.
