SHFE 1707 zinc opened at RMB 21,510/mt today and edged up to RMB 21,570/mt, and hovered around RMB 21,470/mt after entery of shorts.

SHANGHAI, May 9 (SMM) – SHFE 1707 zinc opened at RMB 21,510/mt today and edged up to RMB 21,570/mt, and hovered around RMB 21,470/mt after entery of shorts. In the afternoon, SHFE 1707 zinc fluctuated around RMB 21,620/mt, and closed at RMB 21,655/mt, up RMB 435/mt or 2.05%.

Trading volumes on SHFE 1707 zinc decreased 74,816 to 307,000 lots, and positions added 1,060 to 261,000.
