SHFE 1706 zinc opened at RMB 22,180/mt today and dipped to RMB 22,040/mt, falling all the way to RMB 21,900/mt.

SHANGHAI, May 3 (SMM) – SHFE 1706 zinc opened at RMB 22,180/mt today and dipped to RMB 22,040/mt, falling all the way to RMB 21,900/mt. In the afternoon, SHFE 1706 zinc fluctuated around RMB 21,880/mt and closed at RMB 21,895/mt, down RMB 410/mt or 1.84%.

Trading volumes on SHFE 1706 zinc increased 96,072 to 248,000 lots, and positions decreased 5,800 to 248,000. Falling ferrous metals dragged down zinc. SHFE 1706 zinc is expected to remain range-bound this evening.
