SHFE 1706 zinc opened at RMB 21,675/mt today and dipped to RMB 21,480/mt, and then rallied to RMB 21,600/mt later.

SHANGHAI, Apr. 18 (SMM) – SHFE 1706 zinc opened at RMB 21,675/mt today and dipped to RMB 21,480/mt, and then rallied to RMB 21,600/mt later. In the afternoon, SHFE 1706 zinc fell further to RMB 21,350/mt and closed at RMB 21,400/mt, down RMB 445/mt or 2.04%.

Trading volumes on SHFE 1706 zinc decreased 80,972 to 697,000, and positions added 27,978 to 362,000. Ferrous metals led price declines, with market pessimism prevailing in the market. SHFE 1706 zinc is expected to hover at lows this evening.
