SHANGHAI, Mar. 31 (SMM) – SHFE 1705 zinc opened at RMB 23,350/mt today, and then surged to RMB 23,485/mt, but fell to RMB 23190/mt, with the low-end of RMB 23,105/mt. In the afternoon, SHFE 1705 zinc rallied with decreasing shorts, and closed at RMB 23,380/mt, down RMB 50/mt or 0.12%.

Trading volumes on SHFE 1705 zinc increased 87,400 to 796,000, and positions decreased 21,550 to 213,000. Trading volumes on SHFE zinc added 109,000 to 1.048 million lots, and positions fell 17,174 to 483,000. SHFE market will not open this evening.
