SHFE 1705 Zinc Closes with Small Drop (2017-3-9)

SHFE 1705 zinc opened at RMB 22,045/mt today, and dipped to RMB 21,565/mt, and then stabilized around RMB 21,700/mt. In the afternoon, SHFE 1705 zinc edged down to RMB 21,590/mt and closed at RMB 21,6

SHANGHAI, Mar. 9 (SMM) – SHFE 1705 zinc opened at RMB 22,045/mt today, and dipped to RMB 21,565/mt, and then stabilized around RMB 21,700/mt. In the afternoon, SHFE 1705 zinc edged down to RMB 21,590/mt and closed at RMB 21,610/mt, down RMB 390/mt or 1.77%.

Trading volumes on SHFE 1705 zinc increased 6,056 to 397,000, and positions increased 16,374 to 247,000. China’s February CPI unexpectedly fall to 0.8%, the lowest growth from January 2015, while February PPI rose7.8%, the hgiehst from September 2008. SHFE 1705 zinc will stay low this evening.
