SHFE 1702 Zinc Closes with Gains (2016-12-5)

SHANGHAI, Dec. 5 (SMM) – SHFE 1702 zinc fell to RMB 22,070/mt after opening. As Caixin’s service PMI in November topped October’s and market expectations, SHFE 1702 zinc rose to RMB 22,550/mt. In the afternoon, SHFE 1701 zinc hovered around RMB 22,750/mt and closed at RMB 22,710/mt, up RMB 65/mt or 0.29%. Trading volumes increased 98,618 lots to 606,000 lots, and positions added 33,076 to 228,000. Trading volumes on SHFE zinc decreased 63,806 lots to 879,000 lots, and positions increased 31,486 to 465,000. SHFE 1702 zinc is expected to experience corrections in the evening session.
