Shandong Sacred Sun Power Sources Co., is now working on the development of lead-carbon battery, DZHNews.com reported today.

SHANGHAI, Apr. 11 (SMM) – Shandong Sacred Sun Power Sources Co., is now working on the development of lead-carbon battery, DZHNews.com reported today.

Song Bin, chairman of the company, told the news agency that R&D work got under way for lead-carbon battery, which would extend the service life of lead-acid batteries by adding activated carbon to the cathode of the battery.

The company has already made progress on the development of new-energy lithium-ion battery, mainly for communication applications, the report added.
