The Environmental impact report of Kunshan Tungsten and Molybdenum Mine in Xiushui County, Jiangxi Province is to be approved and publicized.

According to the relevant provisions of the examination and approval procedure of the environmental impact assessment of the construction project, after consideration, the Jiangxi Provincial Department of Ecological Environment intends to make an approval decision on the environmental impact report of the Kunshan Tungsten and Molybdenum Mine project in Xiushui County, Jiangxi Province. The Jiangxi Provincial Department of Ecological Environment said that in order to ensure the seriousness and impartiality of the review, the basic information of the project environmental impact assessment document (extracted from the EIA report) is now made public. The publicity period is from July 7, 2021 to July 13, 2021 (5 working days).

Project name

Kunshan Tungsten and Molybdenum Mine Project in Xiushui County, Jiangxi Province

Construction site

The main mining area of Kunshan Tungsten Mine in Xiushui County is located in Huanggang Town, Xiushui County, and part of it is located in Huangao Township, Xiushui County. The geographical coordinates of the mining area are longitude 114o 52k28 "~ 114o54x26" east, latitude 28 °51x44 "~ 28 °5400" north, and the mining area is about 40km from the urban area of Xiushui county to the northwest.

Construction unit

Xiushui Kunshan Tungsten Mine Co., Ltd.

Environmental impact assessment agency

Jiangxi Institute of Geology and Mineral Resources Fidelity Engineering

General situation of construction project

The annual output of wolframite concentrate, scheelite subconcentrate, wolframite subconcentrate, molybdenum concentrate and copper concentrate is 660000 t, 629.86 t, 2339.29 t, 1302.75 t, 542.9 t and 2589.47 t respectively.

The main environmental impact and the countermeasures and measures to prevent or reduce the adverse environmental impact

1. After the mine water gushing and precipitation treatment, part of the mine water gushing is reused in the mineral processing process, and the rest is discharged to the Longdong River River; the leaching water from the waste rock yard is discharged to the Longdong River River after precipitation treatment; the mineral processing wastewater is reused in the concentrator after flocculation and precipitation treatment at the concentrator wastewater treatment station, and the tailings reservoir overflow water is collected and precipitated and then reused in the concentrator. Domestic sewage is discharged into Longdong River after being treated by integrated sewage treatment facilities (biological contact oxidation process).

two。 The waste gas from ore crushing and screening in the concentrator is collected and treated by the bag dust collector, and the waste gas from the filling station is treated by the bag dust collector. For the underground waste gas produced in the process of mining, the dust production is reduced by means of wet rock drilling, timely spraying of water and dust suppression, local ventilation, systematic air supply and discharge, etc. irregularly sprinkle water to suppress dust in the process of tailings storage, waste rock storage and loading and unloading, so as to maintain a certain humidity of tailings, waste rocks and roads and reduce the production of dust.

3. The noise generated by the project is mainly caused by blasting, rock drilling, air compressors, crushers and all kinds of pumps and other mechanical equipment, through the selection of low-noise equipment, measures such as shock absorption, sound insulation, installation of noise suppression facilities above the aerodynamic pipeline, optimization of plane layout and greening in the plant area are taken to control the impact of project production equipment noise on the surrounding environment.

4. The waste oil produced is temporarily stored in the hazardous waste temporary storage room of the concentrator and regularly disposed of by qualified units; the waste stone is only temporarily stored in the waste yard and regularly sold as building materials; part of the tailings is used for underground filling and the rest is dry piled in the tailings storehouse; bag dust collection ash is reused in the concentrator; sludge from the sedimentation tank and sewage treatment station is stored in the tailings warehouse after dewatering treatment; domestic waste is handed over to the environmental sanitation department for cleaning and disposal.

5. Implement soil and water conservation measures in accordance with the requirements of the relevant departments' reply; set up flood discharge ditches, slope protection and rockfill dams around the waste rock site to prevent the loss of waste soil and rock, and set up flood control and discharge facilities such as cut-off and drainage ditches in the tailings reservoir. After the expiration of the service period of the project, the ecological restoration of industrial sites such as waste rock yard, tailings reservoir and mining industrial site will be carried out in time.
