Hebei crude steel output dip 8.9% on supply-side reforms

As China's supply-side reforms targeted industrial overcapacity, crude steel output in Hebei province for the first four months of the year fell 8.9% from last year

SHANGHAI, May 22 (SMM) – As China's supply-side reforms targeted industrial overcapacity, crude steel output in Hebei province for the first four months of the year fell 8.9% from last year, showed data from Hebei Provincial Bureau of Statistics last Thursday. 

The province's crude steel output registered at 67.65 million mt in the four months. 

From January to April, output of pig iron in Hebei fell 15.7% from the same period last year to 60.75 million mt.
