Profits Improve at China Secondary Lead Producers

Chinese secondary lead producers reported growing profits in this past week, SMM learnt.

SHANGHAI, Nov. 27 (SMM) – Chinese secondary lead producers reported growing profits in this past week, SMM learnt.

Secondary lead prices were mainly at 12,300-12,600 yuan per tonne (tax included) with average price at 12,465 yuan per tonne, up 50 yuan per tonne from last week.

Moreover, average price of scrap automobile batteries (white shell) and motive batteries came at 6,640 yuan per tonne and 7,150 yuan per tonne, respectively, falling

50 yuan per tonne and 60 yuan per tonne. This cut costs by 80-95 yuan per tonne.
