SHANGHAI, Sept. 22 (SMM) – Lead concentrate production in China is expected to head for stabilization in September after three months’ drop, SMM reckons.
Sluggish zinc prices depress producing interest at some mid-sized and small mines heading into September. However, large mines keep steady production. Also, some ore suppliers reportedly increase operation to ensure profits with lead and silver prices staying sable.
Domestic lead concentrate production totaled 221,000 mt in August, down 1.41 percentage points from July.
