Iran to Explore Mehdiabad Zinc Mine with Zinc Concentrate Capacity of 800,000 tonnes per year

Iran has signed a $1 billion contract to explore domestic Mehdiabad zinc mine, according to wenhua.com.

SHANGHAI, Mar. 14 (SMM) - Iran has signed a $1 billion contract to explore domestic Mehdiabad zinc mine, according to wenhua.com.

The mine, with zinc ore grading 2-4%, will produce 800,000 tonnes of zinc concentrate (16,000-32,000 tonnes of zinc output), and 80,000 tonnes of lead and silver concentrate after commissioning.
