SHANGHAI, Dec. 23 (SMM) – Lead concentrate production in China is predicted to fall back in December after growth in November, SMM forecasts.
Growing mines will shut down in northeast and northwest China due to winter cold heading into December. Moreover, production reduces at domestic mines in operation as weak prices bite. Both factors will lead to falls in domestic concentrate output in December.
Lead concentrate production in China increased 2.12% MoM to 181,000 tonnes in November, China’s National Bureau of Statistics data revealed. And total production came in at 2.15 million tonnes during January-November, falling 10.69% from a year earlier.
