SHANGHAI, Feb. 12 (SMM)--Egyptian Vice President Omar Suleiman announced yesterday that Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak would step down on Friday, boosting the risk appetite of investors. In this context, the US dollar index overnight moved between 78.2 and 78.6. But concerns that China will take further tightening policies weighed on LME zinc prices. LME zinc prices overnight were up USD 4.5/mt, and finally closed at USD 2,435/mt. Trading volumes increased by 300 lots to 39,809 lots, and total positions increased by 100 lots to 238,644 lots.
