SHANGHAI, Apr. 21 (SMM) – Zinc market has been rising in recent days. Will the rising momentum continue? SMM surveys major 25 domestic galvanized plants for a whole picture of the market.
Approximately 40 per cent of the respondents are optimistic towards zinc outlook, believing strong gains in ferrous metals market recently will support higher zinc prices.
On Apr. 20, iron ore and rebar on the SHFE hit the daily upward limit, and price gains are continuing on Apr. 21.

Moreover, 60 per cent of producers surveyed told SMM that orders for April are up both on a monthly and yearly basis.
According to another SMM survey, utilization rate at survey sample, with capacity totaling 9.96 million tonnes, grew to 92.2 per cent in March, up 49.3 percentage points month-on-month.
