SHANGHAI, Jan. 25 (SMM)--The US dollar overnight rallied to 78.4 from 78.07 during the Asian trading hours, but then dipped to 77.8 in the evening. However, speculations that China will take additional tightening monetary policies to curb economic growth did not ease. In this context, LME zinc prices overnight continued to dip, down USD 15/mt, with prices finally closing at USD 2,305/mt and struggling at the 60-day moving average. Trading volumes increased by 7,000 lots to 57,022 lots, and total positions decreased by 197 lots to 231,771 lots, with the overall trading sentiment still quiet.
