According to Xinhua News Agency, the latest issue of the "Goods Trade Barometer" released by the WTO shows that the global goods trade prosperity index was 95.6, lower than the benchmark of 100, but slightly higher than the 92.2 released in March this year. Among the various component indexes, the auto product index was 110.8; the export order index was 102.7; the raw material index was 99.0. In addition, the container transportation index, air freight index, and electronic component index continued to perform weakly, all of which were below 100. According to the report, export orders have picked up recently, and the demand for goods will increase in the second quarter of 2023. The WTO's previous forecast that global trade in goods will grow by 1.7% in 2023 is expected to come true.
