A video years ago that showed Tesla CEO Elon Musk laughed at BYD cars has gone viral on the Internet. However, his attitude towards BYD has now changed drastically, as he replied on the Twitter: “That was many years ago. Their cars are highly competitive these days”.

BYD is now the mostly popular new energy vehicle brand not only in China, but also globally, posing a major threat to Tesla.
