Domestic Refined Tin Output Declined in November on Production Cuts in Jiangxi

China's refined tin output stood at 13,281 mt in November, down 8.05% from October.

SHANGHAI, Dec 8 (SMM) - China's refined tin output stood at 13,281 mt in November, down 8.05% from October.

The refined tin output declined on the month as the duration for production restrictions at some smelters in Yunnan was limited on air pollution. Besides, the output in Guangxi fell slightly. The output in Jiangxi declined sharply as local smelters have suspended production for a long while amid environmental protection, but now they have resumed production. The output in other regions rose slightly from October.

Some smelters in Yunnan will conduct routine maintenance in December, which is likely to continue until the end of the month and reduce 500 mt. Some smelters in Guangxi is estimated to cut output by 400 mt amid tight supply of raw materials. The output in Jiangxi is likely to rise sharply on the month in December as local smelters have resumed production. The production of smelters in other regions stabilised and will see no changes in December. Domestic refined tin output is expected to register 13,740 mt in December.
