Tangshan to Cut 30 Per cent Output at Coking Plants from Oct. 1

Five environmental protection inspection teams arrived in Tangshan, Hebei province recently and started its first-phase inspections, lasting 14 days.

SHANGHAI, Sept. 18 (SMM) – Five environmental protection inspection teams arrived in Tangshan, Hebei province recently and started its first-phase inspections, lasting 14 days. 

Production at local coking plants will be restricted by 30 per cent from Oct. 1, 2017, and that at steel mills in the region will be cut by 50 per cent from Nov. 15.

China Crude Steel Output Grows 8.7 Per cent YoY in August

Those which do not comply with restrictions will be required to shut down.
