Production at Silicon Metal Plants Grows in September, SMM Survey

SHANGHAI, Oct. 11 (SMM) – Operation rates at domestic silicon metal producers increased in September with the end of environmental protection inspections, SMM survey finds.

The average operating rate at the 117 silicon metal producers in SMM survey sample, with total capacity 3.51 million mt per annum, was 49.26 per cent in September, up 2.11 and 1.17 percentage points on a monthly and yearly basis, respectively.
