China Sees Big Drop in Iron Ore Inventories, SMM Reports

China’s iron ore inventories at ports are down sharply as of Aug. 4 on a weekly basis, Shanghai Metals Market reports.

SHANGHAI, Aug. 4 (SMM) – China’s iron ore inventories at ports are down sharply as of Aug. 4 on a weekly basis, Shanghai Metals Market reports.

Construction Steel Inventories in Guangzhou Fall for 2 Weeks, SMM Reports

According to SMM data, inventories at the 35 domestic ports were 131.34 million tonnes as of Aug. 4, down 1.95 million tonnes on a weekly basis. 

The daily average outflows from ports were 2.47 million tonnes this past week, down 146,000 tonnes, SMM data show.
