China Iron Ore Imports from Australia and Brazil Grows Further in August

China’s iron ore imports from Australia and Brazil accounted for 85 per cent of China’s total imports in August, up further from July’s 84.63 per cent, according to China Customs. 

SHANGHAI, Oct. 10 (SMM) – China’s iron ore imports from Australia and Brazil accounted for 85 per cent of China’s total imports in August, up further from July’s 84.63 per cent, according to China Customs. 

In August, China imported 52.88 million tonnes of iron ore from Australia, down 4.73 per cent YoY, and 4.66 per cent MoM; China’s iron ore imports from Brazil were 22.47 million tonnes in August, up 28.5 per cent YoY, and 29.2 per cent MoM; imports from other countries/regions were 13.16 million tonnes, off 10.8 per cent YoY and 0.5 per cent MoM.
