Taiwan to Exempt Import Tax on Four Solar Modules

Taiwan’s Executive Yuan will propose to exempt import tax on four solar modules, including solar glass, silica gel, packaging materials and junction box.

Shanghai, Jun. 6 (SMM) – Taiwan’s Executive Yuan will propose to exempt import tax on four solar modules, including solar glass, silica gel, packaging materials and junction box, with current tariff at 8%, 5%, 5% and 5% respectively.

Taiwan, lacking of capacities, mainly imports those four materials at present.
