BRICS Meeting to Restrict Output at Silicon Plants and Transportation in Xiamen

Silicon plants in Zhangzhou and Sanming will also cut, or halt output with nearing of BRICS meeting.

SHANGHAI, Aug. 21 (SMM) - BRICS meeting will be held in Xiamen in late August.

Silicon plants in Fujian, which mainly export silicon via Port of Xiamen, will lay up goods at plants due to traffic constraints during the meeting.

In other news, silicon plants in Zhangzhou and Sanming will also cut, or halt output.

SMM March 9 News: According to comprehensive information from various market sources, recently, Southern Nonferrous Metals conducted large-scale tenders for several of its metal varieties, including significant quantities of bismuth ingots, cadmium ingots, and indium ingots. Sources indicate that all bids were successfully concluded. Currently, based on official information, these metal tenders have indeed smoothly progressed to the delivery stage. However, officials are currently unwilling to disclose the specific transaction prices.
