Zijin Mining Group’s 450,000 tonne per day copper ore processing project was put into production October 7, people.com reports.

SHANGHAI, Oct. 10 (SMM) - Zijin Mining Group’s 45,000 tonne per day copper ore processing project was put into production October 7, people.com reports.

The project is the core project of Zijinshan copper mine, which contains 305 tonnes of gold reserves and over 3 million tonnes of copper reserves.

After a string of new projects come online as expected, Zijin Mining’s copper output will reach 300,000 tonnes per year in the near future.

SHFE Copper Warrants Rise by 3,599 MT, Mainly in Shanghai Area

[SMM Copper Flash] During the day, the SHFE warrant daily report showed that copper futures warrants increased by 3,599 mt to 319,087 mt. The increase was mainly in the Shanghai area; data showed that the Shanghai area increased by 4,103 mt to 167,865 mt, while the Jiangsu area decreased by 504 mt to 95,150 mt.
