Anglo American’s copper ore output fell 2% to 140,800 tonnes in the second quarter of 2017 due to delay in mining permit renewal.

SHANGHAI, Aug. 28 (SMM) – Anglo American’s copper ore output fell 2% to 140,800 tonnes in the second quarter of 2017 due to delay in mining permit renewal.

China Copper Cathode Imports Fall Sharply January-July

Its copper ore sales were restricted in H1 2017 since Chile temporarily closed ports. Moreover, high arsenic content in copper concentrate produced at Collahuasi also restricted sales to China.
