Small and medium copper mines, those with annual capacity less than 5,000 tonnes (Cu content), have not decided to resume production, Shanghai Metals Market survey finds.

SHANGHAI, Aug. 4 (SMM) – Small and medium copper mines, those with annual capacity less than 5,000 tonnes (Cu content), have not decided to resume production, Shanghai Metals Market survey finds.

Those mines suspended production in the wake of big copper losses in 2015, and they told SMM that they would consider coming back online, if copper price is able to be well supported at 50,000 yuan per tonne.
