SHFE Zinc Prices Close with Small Losses (2016-6-8)

SHFE 1608 zinc opened at RMB 15,705/mt last evening.

SHANGHAI, Jun. 8 (SMM) – SHFE 1608 zinc opened at RMB 15,705/mt last evening, and closed at RMB 15,585/mt lower, down RMB 170/mt. Trading volumes of SHFE 1608 zinc were 225,000, and positions were down 9,474 to 222,000.

SHFE 1608 zinc hovered around RMB 15,570/mt today and hovered in the RMB 20/mt range, reaching RMB 15,640/mt, and closing at RMB 15,625/mt, down RMB 130/mt. Trading volumes of SHFE 1608 zinc increased 42,000 to 386,000, and positions were down 13,000 to 219,000. The SHFE market will suspend trading this evening due to the Dragon Boat Festival.
