US H1 scrap average prices drop by $30 per long ton

The US H1 scrap price average prices were at $312.50 per long ton, as on 10th November, 2014. The prices dropped by $30 per long ton over the previous week.

ALBANY (Scrap Monster): The US H1 scrap price average prices were at $312.50 per long ton, as on 10th November, 2014. The prices dropped by $30 per long ton over the previous week. The prices had held steady for four consecutive weeks prior to this.

The average price of US H1 scrap in Pittsburgh, Chicago and Philadelphia was $312.50 per long ton, dropping $30 per long ton when compared with the previous week.

The H1 scrap average price in Pittsburg was $319.50 per long ton. The average price saw a cut of $30 per long ton when compared with the previous week’s price. In Chicago the prices averaged at $319.50 per long ton, declining by $30 per long ton over the week. The average price in Philadelphia was $298.50 per long ton. The prices here too witnessed a cut of $30 per long ton from the week before.

The H1 prices averaged at $244.17 per long ton in New York, Houston and Boston, dropping by $35 per long ton when compared with the previous week prices.

Meanwhile, the US H1 scrap export prices too dropped over the week. South Korean Hyundai Steel is reported to have purchased H1 scrap from American Sims Metal Management at $305 per long ton C&F, $62 lesser when compared with September purchase price.
