ALBANY (Scrap Monster): The US H1 scrap average prices were at $210.83 per long ton, as on 17th August, 2015. The prices have remained flat when compared with the previous week. The US H1 scrap average prices had dropped by USD 31.34 per long ton during the week prior to this.
The average price of US H1 scrap in Pittsburgh, Chicago and Philadelphia was $210.83 per long ton, remaining flat when compared with the previous week. The scrap prices had averaged at the same price during the week ended 10th August, 2015.

The H1 scrap average price in Pittsburg was $209.50 per long ton. The average price held steady when compared with the previous week’s price. In Chicago the prices averaged at $224.50 per long ton. The prices here too remained flat when matched with the previous week. The average price in Philadelphia was $198.50 per long ton. The prices here witnessed no change when compared with the week before.
Meantime, the weekly crude steel output increased marginally by 0.7% during the week from Aug 9th to Aug 15th. The output dropped by 13,000 short tons to 1.768 million short tons during the week.
