LONDON (Scrap Register): The main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange for bigger vessels continued to stay below 950 points mainly due to a drop in capesize activity.

The overall index, which factors in average daily earnings of capesize, panamax, supramax and handysize dry bulk transport vessels, down by 5 points or 0.53 percent to 930 points on Thursday.

The main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange is the rate which tracks for ships carrying dry bulk commodities.
