Main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange continues to drop to 709 points

The main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange for ships carrying dry bulk commodities continued to drop on Friday as the capesize index continued to plunge to new lows.

LONDON (Scrap Register): The main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange for ships carrying dry bulk commodities continued to drop on Friday as the capesize index continued to plunge to new lows. 
 
The overall index, which factors in average daily earnings of capesize, panamax, supramax and handysize dry bulk transport vessels, down by another 15 points to 709 points on Friday.
The main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange is the rate which tracks for ships carrying dry bulk commodities.
