Main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange drop to below 950 points

The main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange for bigger vessels dropped further to below 950 points on Tuesday mainly on lower capesize vessels rates.

LONDON (Scrap Register): The main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange for bigger vessels dropped further to below 950 points on Tuesday mainly on lower capesize vessels rates.

The overall index, which factors in average daily earnings of capesize, panamax, supramax and handysize dry bulk transport vessels, down by 3 points or 0.63 percent to 948 points.

The main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange is the rate which tracks for ships carrying dry bulk commodities.
