US H1 scrap prices dropped during the week ended Mar 10th

The average price of US H1 scrap dropped by $12.34 per long ton over the week, as on 10th March, 2014. The H1 scrap had remained flat during the previous three weeks.

NEW YORK (Scrap Monster): The average price of US H1 scrap dropped by $12.34 per long ton over the week, as on 10th March, 2014. The H1 scrap had remained flat during the previous three weeks.

The average price of US H1 scrap in Pittsburgh, Chicago and Philadelphia was $361.83 per long ton, down by $12.34 per long ton from the previous week.

The H1 scrap average price in Pittsburg was $379.5 per long ton. The average price remained unchanged from the previous week. In Chicago the prices were $377.50 per long ton, down by $12 per long ton over previous week’s prices. The average price in Philadelphia was $328.5 per long ton. The prices here dropped by $25 per long ton upon comparison with the previous week price of $353.50 per long ton.

The average price of US H1 scrap in New York during the week was US$289/long ton, while those in Houston and Boston were $239.50 per long ton and $279 per long ton respectively. The prices for the three regions averaged at $269 per long ton during the week ended March 10th.
