SMM Brief on SHFE Zinc Futures (2013-11-11)

SHFE 1401 zinc contract prices opened at RMB 14,975/mt, and soared to RMB 14,985/mt with rising LME zinc prices, but falling back again.

SHANGHAI, Nov. 11 (SMM) – SHFE 1401 zinc contract prices opened at RMB 14,975/mt, and soared to RMB 14,985/mt with rising LME zinc prices, but falling back again. SHFE zinc prices hovered between RMB 14,920-14,940/mt later the day, and closed at RMB 14,920/mt, down RMB 30/mt. Trading volumes decreased by 898 lots, to 20,442 lots, and total positions decreased by 602 lots, to 106,000 lots.
