Zinc concentrate
China produced 482,700 mt of zinc concentrate in July, down 10.8% MoM, but up 8.47% YoY. YTD output through July was 3.14 million mt, up 12.33% YoY.

China's monthly zinc concentrate output has been growing YoY since the start of 2013. Zinc concentrate output from January through July was up 12.33% YoY, much higher than the 9.14% growth of refined zinc during the same period. New capacities in Inner Mongolia, Xinjiang and Yunnan have come online since last year, and when combined with mines actively producing with favorable profits, zinc concentrate output grew significantly this year.

According to Zijin Mining's mid-year report, the company produced 36,827.43 mt of zinc content in zinc concentrate in 1H, up 121.16% YoY, with half contributed by Urad Back Banner Zijin Mining. Inner Mongolia, Yunnan and Xinjiang will all put new capacities into production during 2H, when combined with rising zinc, lead and silver prices in July, which inspired mines to produce, zinc concentrate output is expected to climb further in 2H.
