DashboardDatabaseProReportsEventsCar InsightSHANGHAI, Apr. 12 (SMM) – Domestic silicon metal prices started stabilizing, but silicon metal exports remained sluggish, with both transactions and FOB prices declining. Although most of silicon metal producers in south China kept operating rates low due to unabated power costs, bearish foreign buyers showed little interest in purchasing despite limited supply.
Procurement prices offered by overseas buyers have remained below the quotes of domestic exporters this month, with the differential up to USD 20-60/mt, leaving silicon metal exports depressed.
