Notice on Changes of SMM Secondary Lead Price

SHANGHAI, Jun. 12 (SMM) – In order to distinguish #2 lead from other lead categories contained in national standards, SMM, after discussing with other industry insiders, decided lead content of any #2 lead should be greater than or equal to 99.97%, while lead content of secondary lead should be greater than or equal to 98.5%. Besides, the price for ignition lead-acid battery should refer to price to factory, and the lead-antimony alloy should be those used for lead-acid batteries with 2% of antimony content (prices for any elements other than lead and antinomy will not be included).

The above adjustments should go into effect since June 8, 2012.
