CHALCO Zhongzhou Branch’s Alumina Output Exceeds 160,000 Mt in March

CHALCO's Zhongzhou Branch produced more than 160,000 mt of alumina in March, including 145,000 mt of industrial grade alumina and 17,600 mt of chemical grade alumina.

SHANGHAI, Apr. 19 (SMM) -- Aluminum Corporation of China Limited (CHALCO)’s Zhongzhou Branch produced more than 160,000 mt of alumina in March, including 145,000 mt of industrial grade alumina and 17,600 mt of chemical grade alumina.

SMM sources report that the industrial grade alumina was produced by the Branch’s No. 2 alumina plant using the ore-dressing Bayer process. The annualized capacity at No. 2 alumina plant is 1.7 million mt based on March output. The Branch’s annualized chemical grade alumina capacity is 200,000 mt.
