Mitsui Mining & Smelting Lowers Zinc Price To Y205,000/Ton (May 7, 2012)

Mitsui Mining & Smelting Co. (5706.TO) said Wednesday that it lowered its zinc selling price by Y10,000 to Y205,000 a metric ton.

TOKYO, Mar 06, 2012 (Dow Jones Commodities News via Comtex) -- Mitsui Mining & Smelting Co. (5706.TO) said Wednesday that it lowered its zinc selling price by Y10,000 to Y205,000 a metric ton.

This will bring the average zinc selling price for March to Y206,900.

Many zinc traders contributed the surge in zinc market mainly to two factors, 21st Century Business Herald reported.
