BEIJING Feb. 2 -- National Bureau of Statistics released " the fourth quarter of 2007 of the national business climate survey," and said in fourth-quarter business climate index continued to place high, production and operation as a whole maintained stable and rapid development and the entrepreneurs hold confidence on the future economic trend. In the first quarter of this year, businesses will maintain a stable level, with basically the same as last year's fourth quarter, higher than the level of the same period last year.
It is reported that in the fourth quarter the national business climate index was 143.6, slightly lower than the third quarter and increase 4.2 points compared with the same period last year.
The survey also revealed that confidence of entrepreneurs changed little in the macro-economic development and hold confidence in future economic development. But the impact on production and operation is increasingly obvious, including energy, raw materials prices and other factors, production costs kept rising; the cost of production index in industrial enterprises in remains in the doldrums, the cost of production increase both year-on-year and month-on-month, and rising rate gradually expand. In addition, due to the market and policy and other factors, the relative shortage of liquidity in some sectors caused the financing difficulties, and the problems in the construction, transportation and storage and postal industry is particularly prominent.

It is worth noting that the impact of south snow and ice disaster has brought on China's economy is not in the investigation, and index variables it bring to the operation of enterprises have to be seen.
