SHANGHAI (Scrap Register): Chinese aluminium, copper cathode, lead and zinc production increased during the month of March this year, according to the latest figures from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).
According to NBS, Chinese Lead production advanced sharply by 10.1 percent year-on-year to 447,000 tons during the month of March this year, while its copper cathode output has gained 8.5% year-on-year to 764,000 tons, the highest from December 2015.
China aluminium production climbed by 2.5% year-on-year to 2.70 million tons during the month of March, which is the lowest since July 2016, while Zinc production slightly up by 0.8% year-on-year to 504,000 tons.
Chinese nonferrous metals production increased 4 percent year-on-year to 4.57 million tons during March. However total production of nonferrous metals advanced by 9 percent year-on-year to 13.49 million tons in the initial three months of this year.
